A capture habit that takes two minutes a day

Open a single note on your phone. Name it something you will actually find. Every time something mildly interesting happens during your working day, drop one line into it — no formatting, no polishing, no deciding whether it is any good. That judgement is what stops people capturing.

Once a week, sit with the list for fifteen minutes and turn the five best lines into drafts. You are not writing from nothing at that point; you are editing something that already exists, which is a dramatically easier task.

Do this for a month and the blank-box problem stops occurring. Most people who post consistently are not more creative than you — they simply stopped relying on remembering.

How to turn one idea into a week of posts

Take a single decent idea and write it five ways. As a one-liner with the conclusion only. As a short thread with the reasoning. As a story about the moment you learned it. As a contrarian take on the standard advice. As a direct question to your audience about their experience.

These are not duplicates — they reach different people, because timelines are fragmented and hardly anyone sees everything you post. The account you admire that seems to have endless ideas is very often working three ideas extremely hard.
